GROOVES & FOLDINGS When folding alone is not enough, e.g. B. with thicker material or several layers of paper, the grooving is used first. The groove prevents the paper from breaking open and the associated flaking of the paint on the fold and ensures a precise fold along the groove. The method is used for. B. with all types of folding cards or folders. Flyers or booklet envelopes are also grooved depending on their grammage. You don't need to worry about whether or not your product needs grooving.
